Marking milestones while learning new things

It’s always fun to get to a trade show. There are always plenty of fascinating new products and ideas to get people excited. And it’s always interesting to see how companies decide to promote themselves and their products. Not to mention that I always end up with a bag of weirdo items that are fun to bring home, even if I can’t stuff any more trade show t-shirts into my dresser.

IPC Midwest comes as I’m realizing summer is waning, prompting me to think back to a couple milestone events. My family celebrated a wedding and 90th birthday, making it a great summer.

Two companies will celebrate milestones of their own at IPC Midwest, as MacDermid and Northrup Grumman mark their 50th anniversaries as members. That’s pretty amazing, given the incredible changes this industry has seen since 1962. The number of companies that aren’t around any more, as well as the huge technological shifts, make it rare that any business relationship lasts five decades.

Marking these two Golden Jubilees is just one of many ways that IPC Midwest will bring together familiar friends. There are always a lot of familiar faces at IPC events. And there are always a lot of intriguing new products and ideas. Not to mention pens, trinkets and maybe even some t-shirts.

It is nice to see a “human touch” in the IPC blog!

Please let me know if you run short of T-shirts or ball point pens – I have a few extras from the trade events.

Please keep this type of communication going along with the serious “stuff”!

    It is refereshing.
