Long-time IPC participant Ivan Ho Dies

Ivan Ho, a long-time contributor to IPC committees on solder mask, coatings and HDI died in the late evening of August 1. At the time of his death, he was the owner of TopNotch Partners Ltd. During his career, he worked for companies supplying the PCB industry, including Photocircuits, WR Grace, Shipley and Ciga-Geigy. He was active in the European Institute of Printed Circuits and IPC.

In his work at TopNotch, he began helping North American PCB fabricators source volume production  in China to stay globally competitive. He recognized the value of bringing Western and Eastern companies together as partners to better serve end customers. Ho will be missed as a popular member of the industry, a contributor and a friend.
